Patrick McDonough

Associate
Patrick McDonough is an associate in Sterlington’s Litigation practice. He represents executives, companies and boards in complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on securities and shareholder litigation, fiduciary duty claims, and federal securities actions. He also counsels clients on corporate governance matters and has extensive experience managing cases in trial and appellate courts across the country as well as in arbitration.

Prior to Sterlington, Patrick practiced at Mintz, where he represented clients in high-stakes securities, M&A, and corporate governance disputes, and at LeClairRyan. Earlier in his career, he clerked for the Honorable William J. Meade of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Patrick has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America: One to Watch in Securities Litigation. He earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, where he served as Production Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review and was published. He also holds a BS in Foreign Service, with a concentration in International Security, from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.
