Yang Wang

Associate

Yang (Young) Wang is an associate focusing on patent litigation, patent prosecution, and IP transactional matters in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He has represented clients in complex patent disputes before U.S. district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), with a particular focus on Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA litigation. His experience spans claim construction, expert and fact witness depositions, and dispositive motions; he also provides strategic counsel on patent prosecution, IP due diligence, and global portfolio management. Yang also advises biopharmaceutical companies on IP-driven transactions, including licensing agreements, R&D collaborations, and technology transfers.

Yang has worked as an associate at Cooley LLP as well as boutique IP firms in the U.S. and Canada. He holds a J.D. and Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Alberta, an M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and a B.Sc. in Biology from Lanzhou University.
