Stuart Daroca is a partner in Sterlington’s Corporate practice, with extensive experience in public, private, and startup company transactions. With a long career that includes serving as Associate General Counsel at AIG, where he collaborated with Thomas Russo, Strategic Advisor to Sterlington, Stuart played a significant role in the divestiture of over $25 billion of non-core assets during AIG’s successful restructuring and recapitalization after the financial crisis. Stuart also held the positions of General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at several B2B real estate firms, as well as Senior Legal Counsel at Citigroup. His legal career began at Skadden, where he worked for seven years as an associate. Stuart earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Senior Editor for its Law and Policy in International Business Journal, and a B.A. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley.
