Klas Holm

Partner, Tax
Klas Holm is a partner in Sterlington’s Tax practice. He has more than 30 years of experience advising corporations, investment funds, and high-net-worth individuals on complex US and international tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border and financing transactions, global tax planning, and tax controversy.
Klas regularly represents multinational companies, sovereign wealth funds, and private equity and hedge funds on sophisticated transactional and structuring matters. He has also successfully defended clients in tax controversies before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities.

In addition to his client work, Klas has been a frequent commentator on US tax regulations and policy matters, an author and speaker on developments in US and international tax law, and he has been invited to present on corporate tax issues by industry organizations.

Prior to joining Sterlington, Klas was a partner and Global Tax Co-Chair at Curtis and previously served as a partner at Baker McKenzie. He started his career as an associate at Davis Polk.

Klas holds an LLM from New York University School of Law and an LLM, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar, from Stockholm University School of Law.
