Robert M. Maxwell

Estate & Fiduciary Accountant
Robert M. Maxwell is an estate & fiduciary accountant in Sterlington’s Private Wealth practice, bringing extensive experience in estate administration, fiduciary accounting, and tax planning. He advises clients on complex estate matters across trust settlement, estate taxation, and post mortem planning.

Robert’s background includes senior estate and fiduciary roles in both law firm and financial firm and financial services services environments. Before joining Sterlington, he served as a Senior Estate Accountant at Morgan Lewis, preparing estate and gift tax returns and consulting on sophisticated estate issues. Earlier, Robert spent over twenty years with The Glenmede Trust Company, ultimately serving as Director of Estate and Trust Settlement, where he oversaw all aspects of estate administration, including death three years with The Glenmede Trust Company, ultimately serving as Director of Estate and Trust Settlement, where he oversaw all aspects of estate administration, including death tax filings, postmortem strategies, and court mortem strategies, and court fiduciary accountings. He began his career with First Union National Bank in roles spanning equipment required fiduciary accounting. Robert earned both his B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and holds the Accredited Estate Planner® designation.
