Lisa Jerde Spillman

Based out of Wyoming, Lisa Jerde Spillman is a partner focusing on investment management, regulatory matters, business creation and support, and crypto and digital assets. She is also a Board member of a regulated Crypto trading company. Before joining Sterlington, Lisa served as General Counsel for the State Treasurer's Office of Wyoming which manages over $25 billion in assets. As part of Lisa’s GC responsibilities, she was responsible for regulatory oversight of investment matters and oversaw the legal side of the State's investments. Lisa also served as Senior Assistant Attorney General in Wyoming and practiced for 10 years before that in California. With nearly 20 years of legal experience in the private and government sectors, Lisa’s experience spans setting up LLCs, helping clients navigate regulatory and compliance reviews, and advocating on behalf of clients with government agencies and the Legislature. Lisa has worked for three federal judges and argued 46 appeals. Lisa earned a J.D. magna cum laude from Chapman University Fowler School of Law, a Master of Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, a B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, and a Master of Finance from Colorado State University Global. Lisa is a member of the American College of Investment Counsel, President and Treasurer for the Laramie County Bar Association, and Board Member for Family Promise Cheyenne, a nonprofit helping homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence.
