Krishna Omkar is a partner at Sterlington focusing on M&A, capital markets, and corporate governance. Before joining Sterlington, Krishna practiced at Slaughter and May for eight years, including his training and qualification, and King & Spalding for four years. He has advised clients on complex matters spanning over 60 jurisdictions and more than US$200 billion across numerous sectors, including financial services, technology, fintech, life sciences, infrastructure, energy, sports and entertainment, and private wealth. Krishna’s work has garnered extensive recognition, positioning him as a Recommended Lawyer for Premium M&A in the Legal 500 UK 2022, Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2020 and 2021, and the recipient of the Rising Star Award at the British Legal Awards. Beyond his legal accomplishments, Krishna is globally recognized as a thought leader on diversity, equity, inclusion, ESG, and stakeholder capitalism. He is a Fellow of St George’s House of Windsor Castle and the Royal Society of Arts, and a Board Member for Human Rights First. Krishna earned an LPC and GDL from BPP Law School London, a Master of Philosophy from the University of Oxford, a First Class Honors BA from St. Stephen’s College Delhi, and was a visiting researcher at Sciences Po Paris.
