Laura Leão

Laura Leão focuses on identifying and attracting exceptional legal talent to support the firm’s continued growth. She works closely with firm leadership and partners to advise on the recruitment of associates, senior associates, and counsel across a range of practice areas. 

Laura supports the full recruitment lifecycle, including market mapping, candidate outreach, interview coordination, and hiring strategy. She partners with practice leaders to identify attorneys whose experience and entrepreneurial mindset align with Sterlington’s partner driven platform serving founders, executives, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. 

Prior to joining Sterlington, Laura worked in legal recruiting focused on the U.S. legal market, primarily supporting searches within AmLaw 100 firms. Through this work, she developed deep familiarity with the structure, culture, and talent dynamics of leading law firms, advising both candidates and hiring partners throughout the lateral hiring process. 

Laura holds a law degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Her legal background enables her to bring a strategic and informed perspective to recruiting, with a strong understanding of the needs of both attorneys and law firm leadership. 

Laura works closely with attorneys across the United States and internationally. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
